课程简介
You will learn through this unit that media and communications is not just situated in the domain of creative endeavours, but that successful communication and media management is crucial to the growth and survival of any organization. This unit will focus on developing media strategies for both internal and external contexts, such as promoting safer workplace environments, or engaging with external stakeholders in times of crisis. You will be introduced to a variety of media processes that require expertise and active management in any organization.

- ULO1 Analyse the complexities of internal and external communications in order to gain a leadership perspective of a professionally and socially diverse workplace;
- ULO2 Produce reports, policy briefs, and other works that positively promotes a safer, more equitable, and ethical working environment;
- ULO3 Develop media strategies to productively engage with external stakeholders, the public, and the media particularly in times of crisis;
- ULO4 Collaborate with others to identify and utilize collective skills and expertise to maximize impact of media strategies, as well as develop and utilize task management skills

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. A unit requires on average three/four hours of scheduled activities per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
