课程简介

This unit develops your ability to conceptually design electric urban mobility plans and operations, while assessing how different electric mobility initiatives contribute to green, sustainable cities and help achieve net zero targets. You will evaluate these initiatives based on their performance and key metrics. The unit also explores current challenges in adopting electric vehicles, including factors like charging station locations considering vehicle ranges, the electric grid network, land use, and related issues.

教学方式

Active learning - You will participate in interactive workshops and computer laboratories to reinforce your lecture knowledge through individual and group activities.

Problem-based learning - To deepen your understanding of key concepts and principles, you will complete problem-solving tasks individually or in small groups.

Online learning - You are expected to prepare each week by reviewing lecture notes and watching the pre-recorded videos.

预期工作量

The minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of 3-6 hours of scheduled learning activities and 6-9 hours of independent study per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher-directed learning, peer-directed learning and online engagement. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities.
