课程简介
In this unit you will develop essential skills for effective therapeutic practice by bridging your theoretical knowledge with practical application. You will see that this involves emphasizing evidence-based interventions, cultural competence, and ethical considerations.
Throughout the unit, you will explore psychological theories, therapeutic factors, methods to establish and maintain rapport, engage in discussions on transference and countertransference dynamics, and understand the basic framework of cognitive and behavioral therapies, with a focus on both children and adults. The content is designed to tailor interventions to diverse client needs, fostering a client-centered approach.
Your learning experience will be dynamic, featuring a blend of lectures, workshops, and interactive sessions that encourage active engagement with both instructors and peers. The Moodle platform will be utilised, offering organised learning materials presented in a user-friendly format.
The unit aims not only to provide a comprehensive theoretical understanding of interventions but also to enable you to demonstrate practical skills essential for competent and ethical clinical psychology practice. This unit is more than just a course; it is your pathway to becoming a proficient and compassionate clinical psychologist.
