课程简介
This unit will enhance your knowledge and understanding of a range of topics relevant to the practice of pharmacy; further develop and refine skills in communication, teamwork, integrity, empathy and problem solving; and provide the opportunity for you to implement your knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course in various practice settings through the Student Experiential Placements (StEPs) Program.

• Twelve hours of independent preparation for placements
• Twelve hours of active learning lectures (2 hours per week)
• Twelve hours of small group classes including assessment (2 hours per week)
• Three 1-hour skills coaching sessions
Placement
This unit requires you to undertake off-campus clinical placements. In the clinical setting, you will have an opportunity to apply theory to practice under supervision. Attendance is mandatory for the clinical component of each unit. You must be aware of the faculty's Student Experiential Placements Information and Compliance Handbook
You will not be permitted to attend any clinical placements unless you have current valid Working with Children and Police checks, an up to date hand hygiene module certification, and have a satisfactory immunisation status, all of which must be submitted to Faculty.
All students who have been assigned placement remediation procedures as per the Student Experiential Placements Information and Compliance Handbook must have these approved by the StEPs Manager by the due date to attend placement. More information is available online via the Student Experiential Placement (StEPS) Program
• 150 hours of professional experiential placements (2 x 2 weeks x 5 days x 7.5 hours)
